Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist. The role will support core accounting, reporting, and compliance activities while working closely with engagement teams and regional finance functions. Preference will be given to Arabic-speaking candidates and those already based in Qatar; however, all suitably qualified applicants—including candidates from abroad—will be considered. Key Accountabilities: Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with IFRS, firm policies, and local Qatar regulations Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items Process accounts payable, employee expense claims, vendor payments, and intercompany transactions Prepare and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy of time and expense allocations Monitor accounts receivable aging and support collection activities in coordination with engagement teams Assist in revenue recognition processes in accordance with firm and IFRS guidelines Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting for internal cost centers Prepare management reports, financial schedules, and analysis for leadership review Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations, including VAT filing, reporting, and documentation Liaise with external auditors and support statutory and internal audits Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to global and regional finance policies Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy Handle confidential financial and client-related information with integrity and professionalism Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant accounting experience Experience working in Qatar or the GCC region is an advantage Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of ac:counting principles and financial processes Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience Demonstrated experience as a General Ledger Specialist Strong hands-on experience in Bookkeeping and daily accounting operations Proven background in Accounts Payable and Cost of Sales processing Solid experience managing Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections Experience working in Qatar or the GCC region is an advantage Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Fluency in English is required Arabic language skills are highly preferred Other Requirements Candidates currently residing in Qatar are preferred Candidates from abroad will also be considered Ability to join within a short notice period is an advantage
